Hot Box Hire ltd is an Irish owned, family run business, based near Dunshaughlin, Co Meath servicing the entire island of Ireland.
Derek and Daragh Gray took over their father’s family Plant Hire & Civil Engineering business in 1994. They started out contracting for large corporations and clients such as Eircom, which led them to branch out into working for the ESB and a large number of major building contractors.
The majority of contracted work was based in Dublin and when working on the national roads they had to carry out this work at night and over weekends to reduce the impact on the general public.
Dublin City Council banned the use of delayed set tarmacadam (which is also banned throughout the UK.) So in 2008 the brothers set about purchasing a Hot Box in order to improve their business and as they found the Hot Box invaluable felt it would be of huge benefit to anyone working with tarmacadam. There was a gap in the market and their vision was to expand the Hot Box fleet and become Irelands number one Hot Box supplier.
Our client base has grown and now not only includes County Councils but also a number of small and large utility companies and Civil Engineering Companies.
